Paranoid
by the Jonas Brothers

I make the most of all the stress
I try to live without regret
But i m about to break a sweat
Im freaking out

Its like a poison in my brain
Its like a fog that blurs the scene
Its like a vine you cant untame
Oh, im freaking out

Everytime i turn around
Something dont feel right
I might be paranoid
Im boarding the lines
Cause they just might split
Can someone stop the noise?
I dont know what it is
But it just dont fit
Im paranoid, yeah

I take the next stairway steps
To get some air into my chest
Cant hear the thoughts inside my head
Im still freaking out
Thats why my ex is still my ex
I never trust a word she says

Now I'm speechless, over the edge
I'm just breathless, I never thought
That I'd catch this love bug again
Im runnin all the background checks
And shes freaking out

Everytime i turn around somethings just not right
Might be paranoid
Im boardin the lines cause they just might split
Can someone stop the noise?
I dont know what it is
But it just dont fit
Consider me destroyed
Cause i dont know how to act cause i lost my head
I must be paranoid

I never thought it would come to this
Im paranoid

Stuck in the room
Were staring faces, oh
Im caught in a nightmare
I cant wake up
If you hear my cry running threw her streets
Im about to freak
Come and rescue me

She might be paranoid, yeah
Im boarding the lines cause they just might split
Can someone stop the noise?
I dont know what it is
But it just dont fit
Consider me destroyed
I dont know how to act cause i lost
Cause i lost my head
I must be paranoid
I never thought it would come to this
Im paranoid

Interview Joe

JJJ: Happy early birthday! Do you have any plans?
Joe Jonas:
Thank you! Maybe just have dinner with some friends, honestly. Every birthday I have I’m normally on tour. It’s always a cool way to celebrate. We have a bunch of people together and we all hang out and have a big celebration. I think it’ll be nice to just do something a little bit chill this time.

JJJ: You’ve been tweeting a lot lately about recording with Kevin and Nick for your guys’ upcoming album! Can you give us any hints as to what the tracks will sound like?
JJ:
I think they have [more] mature lyrics and as we’re getting older we’re able to talk about different things and we each have different inspirations [to pull from]. I’m really happy with the music though. I feel like it’s kind of more back to what it should be, more where the roots are, meaning instruments. You know, it’s not so programmed and all off a keyboard and electronic stuff, it’s almost organic.

JJJ: Is it safe to say new Jonas Brothers’ music will be released before the end of the year?
JJ: Yeah, I think before the end of the year definitely. We’ve got a couple opportunities this year concert-wise that we might do so you might hear it there!

JJJ: When you guys were first starting out, did you have a backup plan in case your music wasn’t a hit?
JJ:
When me and my brothers first started, I think I thought maybe it wasn’t [going to take off]. You always put in the back of your mind that this could just [last] a year, or it could be less, so I did have on my mind to do something [else] like acting or [playing] sports, because when I was younger I never really did sports. If I could have done something like that I would have been happy too, but I’m very pleased to be doing this.

JJJ: What would you say is your guilty pleasure?
JJ:
I really love slurpees! I’m a big slurpee guy. Two days ago was free slurpee day at 7-Eleven and I didn’t even realize that. I was pretty upset. (Laughs)

JJJ: Earlier this year, fans saw you on the dating show The Choice. What advice do you have for healing a broken heart?
JJ:
I would say…get out of your house. Go hang with friends and get your mind off of it. Go do things that maybe you haven’t done before, because it can be easy to just sit inside your house either look at all the stuff that they gave you and that can be tough. Take a trip somewhere! That’s what I love to do. I just love to get away if things are bad and tough, maybe take a road trip.

JJJ: Since then, you’ve been busy working on another show called The Next: Fame Is At your Doorstep. What’s that experience been like?
JJ:
It’s really cool! It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, be able to mentor musicians. To work with someone that’s in the same genre of pop music and be able to help them towards their career is really exciting!

JJJ: How’s your show different from American Idol and the X Factor?
JJ:
The biggest difference is that we’re pretty much moving in with these people. We go in there and are like, ‘Listen. For the next 72 hours I’m going to be hanging out and living with you and we’re going to be practicing as much as possible to get you ready for the biggest show of your life!’

JJJ: That had to be an interesting experience! Can you give us a sneak peek at some of the situations you guys were exposed to while living with the contestants?
JJ:
Yeah, for instance, Gloria Estefan, (laughs), she was riding a tractor around and I was babysitting 15 kids! It was pretty bizarre. We did things we’d never done before, but it was a lot of fun.

JJJ: Do you think the Jonas Brothers may perform together on The Next?
JJ:
(Smiles) There is a chance, yeah. I’ve talked to my brothers about it and they’re up for it, so if it works out schedule-wise I’m sure you’ll see us on the show.

JJJ: Since you’ve been hanging out in NYC a lot lately, have you ever gotten lost on the subway?
JJ:
I have gotten lost. I was kind of taking up the challenge because it was around 5 or 6 and in rush hour traffic you can’t get anywhere. I was uptown for a meeting and I tried to get a cab, but it was dead-stop traffic, so I thought I’d just take the subway. I got off at the wrong stop and was still like a good 23 blocks from my apartment. I was like, ‘Ugh!’

JJJ: Seeing how Nick just wrapped up his Broadway show, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, would you ever consider doing a musical?
JJ:
(Smiles) Me and my brother Nick, we’ve talked about doing something. Maybe [we'll do] a show together next year. It’s just an idea.

JJJ: Would the musical be something original?
JJ:
Yeah, I think it’d be kind of cool to do a show that was in the West End over in London that maybe had brothers in it somehow. That would be I think the ultimate dream.

JJJ: What would you say has been your best and worst experiences in the Big Apple so far?
JJ:
Best experiences…I think there is just so much inspiration in New York City! It’s kind of fun to be able to take my bike and ride it and chill. My worst experience is the same thing. I lost my bike, well my bike got stolen, in the daylight on a Saturday. It was kind of bazaar. It was locked and everything. When my bike got stolen, my buddy said, ‘You’re officially a New Yorker now.’ It was kind of a bummer, but it happens.

JJJ: Do you have any lucky charms or something special that you’ve gotten from NYC?
JJ:
I have this bracelet that I’ve been wearing a lot. It’s so funny, people compliment me on it and think it’s like from David Yurman or something like that, but it’s really from a guy on the street, literally like two blocks down. I love his jewelry, so I always sport his stuff. Every time I walk up [to his table] he’s like, ‘Ahhh!’ Last time I actually went, he thought I put on [one of his other bracelets] and wasn’t going to pay [for it]. I had to be like, ‘No, the other one’s right there.’ He almost punched me out! (Laughs)

JJJ: Besides being a mentor/judge on The Next, you’ve also been able to help kids achieve their dreams with Acuve. What’s that been like?
JJ:
It’s been great! It’s similar to The Next with me being a mentor, but in a different way. For me, inspiring somebody with the dream they have for charitable work and being able to get either their charity started or raise money for a certain cause is something I just look at and go, ‘Ok, this is why I do this.’ It’s like a dream for me, so it’s been really special.

JJJ: Can you tell us about some of your experiences so far?
JJ:
The team at Acuve has been so helpful at [pairing] me with the right opportunities. These two girls I’ve had so far are just so sweet. Both times I’ve just connected really well with them, so I’m really happy.

JJJ: Who would you say has been your biggest inspiration or mentor in helping you achieve your dreams?
JJ:
My dad is always someone I’ve looked up to. He’s an incredible person and not only a great manager, but a great dad. He knows how to separate them both. He’s been very supportive during our careers. Even when we only had two people in the audience, he was driving us miles and spending his money so that we could live our dream and that was really an important thing.

JJJ: Thanks for doing this interview!
JJ: Thank you!

TV show
Joe Jonas had een interview waarbij hij een boekje open deed over de nieuwe reality show Married to Jonas en zijn vaarwel bij Disney.

Believe it or not, it’s been three years since the Jonas Brothers released Lines, Vines and Trying Times, but that doesn’t mean Joe Jonas hasn’t been a very busy twentysomething. Between his solo release, becoming a mentor for the ACUVUE 1-Day Contest, and filming his new reality competition show, The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep, Joe is in crazy demand!

Fortunately, Wetpaint Entertainment recently sat down with Joe in New York City to get the scoop on his latest projects.

Wetpaint Entertainment: What’s been the best part about your work with ACUVUE?
Joe Jonas: My favorite part about working with ACUVUE is the fact that I get to encourage somebody and their dreams – somehow help them out and come up with ideas and ways to make it happen for them.

The past two years, I’ve been able to work with two different people. [The] one from last year, she was so shy. I remember first meeting her, it was hard for her to have a conversation with me. And then I saw her a year later, and you wouldn’t even recognize this girl. Not only was she wearing different clothes than I thought she would ever wear, but her personality was so bright.

How important is it for successful celebrities to give back?
It’s not for everybody. For some people, it might not be their thing. For the ones that want to help out and know they can, I think it’s really important. They have such a great influence on people without even realizing it. Their personal stories, in general, can encourage [people] in ways that are just incredible.

What’s it been like to work on The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep?
It’s been awesome. I just got back from Orlando. There’s great talent in Orlando. It’s a fun show. I mean, I literally knock on somebody’s door and I’m like, “Listen, we have 72 hours. We’ve got to get you ready for this audition, and I’m moving in.” So, I’m pretty much living with this person for a few days getting them ready for this audition, and if they have a job or tours, [I’m] helping them out.

How involved are you in your brother Kevin’s show, Married to Jonas?
I’m not in it that much. Any time [me and Nick] see Kevin, there’s a camera around. It’s really focused on [Kevin and Dani], which is kind of cool and exciting – to see their relationship and the craziness that goes on with in-laws and everything. It’s fun for me and Nick because we can just sit back and watch. It’s probably a little stressful for Kevin.

What’s it like to see yourself on reality TV?
I think the pilot was an educating thing more for my family. It’s reality television. Whatever you give them, they’ve got. It’s not like they pick what you want them to use. Not that we’re a scandalous family – there’s not a lot of drama in our family. With reality television, you can create a storyline that might not actually be that big of a deal, but they can make it really big. Something as simple as Kevin having a fight with [Dani’s] dad can be a whole storyline on an episode. It’s really interesting. I don’t know if it’s for me right now, but Kevin and Dani somehow seem to do it right.

How does Married to Jonas stack up against other reality shows, like Real Housewives or Jersey Shore?
I think they’re on the right network [for] a reality show [E!], and having Ryan Seacrest a part of it is great. They’re going to be in a good place. Also, there’s a lot of people who can relate to the show. There’s a lot of young couples that get married, like Kevin and Dani, and are going through what they’ve gotta go through during their first few years of marriage. That’s where Kevin and Dani are right now. I think there’s going to be a lot of couples that relate to that.

How would you describe your stint on The Choice?
It was funny. I was kind of sitting back and being like, “Alright, I’ll have fun with this.” The three other guys on my episode were so funny. We laughed the entire time. These girls and the crazy ways they were trying to flirt; I think a lot of them were probably told to just be crazy and a lot of the guys will like this, but we were all, “That’s not the kind of girl we’re looking for.”

Are your Disney Channel days behind you, or would you return to Camp Rock or Jonas?
I think we’re a little too old for Camp Rock right now. It would be a little bit funny with bearded men on the Disney Channel. Our time with Disney was great. They were a great partner. We had an amazing time with them, and I think it’s cool for us to now move to a different time in our career.
